Council's strategic planning team is investigating what makes a beautiful coastal town to help shape the masterplanning of Batemans Bay.

Our aim of this project is to establish an understanding of beautiful buildings and places - from our community's perspective.

Have your say

There are three ways you can share your views to refresh and inspire the existing vision for the town. We’d love for you to participate in all three, but any contribution is appreciated!

  1. Provide direct feedback on the Draft Batemans Bay Masterplan, which is currently on public exhibition. You can access masterplan documents and share your thoughts through the feedback form on our public exhibition page.
  2. Take our quick survey to share your visual perspective. We’ll ask you to upload one example image of a building you love. Find the survey at the bottom of this page.
  3. Visit the team in person at our pop-up shopfront to chat and share your insights directly:

    Batemans Bay Masterplan survey: What makes a coastal town beautiful?

    We’re inviting the community to share images that represent the beauty of coastal towns - anywhere in the world! By contributing your example, you’ll help shape a shared vision for the future of Batemans Bay.

    In the survey, we ask you to upload one colour image of a building, tell us where it’s located, and what makes it beautiful. Please avoid discussing your example image with others - it’s your opinion we'd like to hear.

    We'll use the images we receive to identify places, building styles, colours, materials, shapes, and types of seaside towns that our community loves and appreciates.

    Your input is important, and we’d love for you to take part! Survey submissions close on 30 June 2025.
