Draft Biodiversity Strategy

Council has prepared a draft Biodiversity Strategy for Eurobodalla.

Biodiversity means the variety of living things in our area. Eurobodalla’s natural environment is one of the things we value most. It supports the way we live, our local economy, and our sense of place. But biodiversity is under pressure from development, climate change, invasive species, and other human activities. The strategy will help us:

  • protect important species, habitats, and natural areas
  • plan for growth while protecting biodiversity
  • work with Traditional Owners and the community to care for Country.

Biodiversity is everyone’s responsibility. Your feedback will help us improve the draft strategy.

Your involvement

The draft strategy was open for public feedback from Wednesday 1 July 2026 to Friday 14 August 2026. Public exhibition is now closed. We thank community members who took the opportunity to have their say through our public exhibition page, by talking to staff from our sustainability team at the Moruya administration office, through the short online survey or by booking a presentation.

Next steps

Now that feedback has closed, we will review your comments and update the final strategy. We will then ask Council to approve it.
