Draft Biodiversity Strategy
Council has prepared a draft Biodiversity Strategy for Eurobodalla.
Biodiversity means the variety of living things in our area. Eurobodalla’s natural environment is one of the things we value most. It supports the way we live, our local economy, and our sense of place. But biodiversity is under pressure from development, climate change, invasive species, and other human activities. The strategy will help us:
- protect important species, habitats, and natural areas
- plan for growth while protecting biodiversity
- work with Traditional Owners and the community to care for Country.
Biodiversity is everyone’s responsibility. Your feedback will help us improve the draft strategy.
Community engagement
The draft strategy was open for public feedback from Wednesday 1 July 2026 to Friday 14 August 2026. We thank the community for taking the time to share their views by:
- submitting feedback on our public exhibition webpage
- talking to staff from Council's sustainability team at our drop-in sessions
- completing our short online survey
- booking a group presentation with our natural environment team.
Next steps
Now that feedback has closed, we will review your comments and update the final strategy. We will then ask Council to approve it.
