Draft Biodiversity Strategy

Council has prepared a draft Biodiversity Strategy for Eurobodalla.

Biodiversity means the variety of living things in our area. Eurobodalla’s natural environment is one of the things we value most. It supports the way we live, our local economy, and our sense of place. But biodiversity is under pressure from development, climate change, invasive species, and other human activities. The strategy will help us:

  • protect important species, habitats, and natural areas
  • plan for growth while protecting biodiversity
  • work with Traditional Owners and the community to care for Country.

Biodiversity is everyone’s responsibility. Your feedback will help us improve the draft strategy.

Get involved

The draft strategy is now open for public feedback from Wednesday 1 July 2026 to Friday 14 August 2026. You can have your say in four ways:

1. Read the draft and give feedback

Visit our public exhibition page to read the draft and submit feedback online.

2. Talk to us

Speak with our natural environment team and share your views:

  • When: Wednesday 1 July 2026 to Friday 24 July 2026 (weekdays only)
  • Time: 8.30am to 4.30pm
  • Where: Council's customer service centre, Vulcan Street, Moruya.

3. Take our short survey

Answer a short survey about the strategy and what it means for you.

4. Book a presentation for your group

Our natural environment team can meet with your group any time to talk about the strategy and get your feedback. Call us to book in a time that suits your group:

Next steps

After feedback closes, we will review your comments and update the final strategy. We will then ask Council to approve it.
